Open your image, which should be a vertical image. Resize your image to height 300 pixels (use "Bicubic" and sharpen if necessary).
Select all.
Selections / Modify / Contract = 15.
Selections / Invert.
Go to 'Effects / Plugin / Filter Factory D - Dynamic contrast' and use the following settings:

Go to 'Effects / Outer Bevel' and use the following settings:
Selections / Select all.
Selections / Modify / Contract = 25.
Edit / Copy.
Go again to 'Effects / Plugin / Filter Factory D - Dynamic contrast' with same settings as before.
Selections / Modify / Contract = 20.
Edit / Paste into selection.

Keep your selection active! Go to 'Effects / Outer Bevel' and use the same settings as before.
Select none.
Now that your main image is finished, we can start on the background strip.
Create a new image 1024 x 350.
Sett your foreground color to #80FFFF and background color to #000080.
Change to a foreground-background gradient as shown here:
Fill your new background image ( 1024 X 350 ) with this gradient.
Go to 'Effects / Plugin / Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Color effects - Black & White.'
Gå to 'Adjust / Hue and Saturation / Colorize' and use the following values:
Go to 'Selections / Load from disk' and find the selection named 'l_k_selectiebestand_les carol' (the one with two stripes).
Then click the 'delete' button on your keyboard.
Select none, then go to 'Layers / Merge all' .
Go to 'Effects / Plugin / FM Tile Tools / Blend Emboss' and use the default settings.
Then 'Effects / Distortion effects / Pixelate' and use these settings:
Repeat the 'Effects / Plugin / FM Tile Tools / Blend Emboss'.
Add a new raster layer (Layers / New Raster Layer).
Go again to 'Selections / Load from disk' og find 'l_k_les carol 2'.
Now set your foreground color to #493F35, og fill your selection with this color.
Keep your selection active! Go to 'Selections / Modify / Contract = 25'.
Go again to 'Effects / Plugin / Factory D - Dynamic contrast' and use the same settings as earlier.
Effects / Edge Effects / Enhance.
Select none.
Activate the main image that you did earlier. Go to 'Edit / Copy'. Return to your background strip image. Go to 'Edit / Paste As New Layer'. Move this image in place with the 'Move' tool. And finally, go to 'Layers / Merge / Merge All (Flatten)'.
