Supplies

  • Selections L&Kfaith en L&Kfaith2:   HERE.  Unzip and place them in your "selections" folder.
  • L&K Filter Trix:   HERE.
  • Filter Eye Candy 4000:  HERE.
  • Font 13Misa:  HERE.   Unzip the font, and either place it in C:\windows\fonts to install the font. OR, just open the font (double-click on the file from Windows Explorer), so that it will be available for use in PSP.
  • An image, preferably one with a darker background.

Lets' get started.

  1. Open your image. With the Dropper Tool find a dark color for your background color, and a light color for your foreground color

  2. Create a new image 1024 X 380.

  3. Set your foreground material to gradient as shown below. Fill the layer with this foreground-background gradient.

  4. Go to 'Selections / Load from disk' og find 'L&Kfaith'.

  5. Go to 'Effects / Plugins / Eye Candy 4000 / Shadowlab' and use the following settings:

  6. Now go to 'Effects / 3D effects / Cutout' and use the following settings:

  7. Select none.

  8. Add a new layer (Layers / New Raster Layer).

  9. Fil this new layer with your foreground gradient.

  10. Go to 'Effects / Plugins / L&Ktrix ' and use these settings:

  11. Lower the opacity of this new layer to 70%, and change the blend mode from 'Normal' to 'Overlay'.

  12. Effects / Edge Effects / Enhance.

  13. Effects / Edge Effects/ Enhance More.

  14. Add a new layer (Layers / New Raster Layer).

  15. Go to 'Selections / Load from disk / L&Kfaith2':

  16. Activate your image (click on it), then go to 'Edit / Copy'.

  17. Go back to your background strip.

  18. Edit / Paste into selection.

  19. Layers / Merge all.

  20. Now you can add your text. Add a new layer. Activate the Text Tool and use the following settings:

  21. Enter your text. Reduce the opacity of this text layer to 70%.

  22. Go to 'Effects / Plugins / Eye Candy 4000 / Shadowlab' and use the same settings used in step 5.

  23. Now that you are finished, you can merge all your layers.

  24.    Select none.
