This tutorial has been written with the standard settings of PSP9

 

 

Materials:

  • Plug in: Vizros 4: here, install this plug in and register
  • Plug in: Filter Factory C: here extract in your plug in folderPlug in: Greg’s Fatcory Output: here, extract in your plug in folder

  • Parameters (preset) for the plug in vizros here; extract to a folder of your choice

Preparation:

  • Because one of the plugin reacts on the colour we have to work with a duotone gradient. During the tut we will inform you when you have to colorize to adjust it to the tube you are using.

 

1. Open a new WHITE IMAGE 400 x 400

2. Effects - Plugins – Filter Factory Gallery C – Cyber mosh- with the following settings:

3. Magic wand – click in the white parts of your image; following settings:

4. Selections – Selections invert

5. Selections – modify – expand with 20 pixels

6. KEEP SELECTED!!!

7. Effects – 3D effects – cut out – following settings:

  • Fill interior with colour – checked
  • Colour = white

 

8. KEEP SELECTED!!!!!

9. Layers – new layer!!!!!

10. Go to your foreground colour;

  • you MUST set it on Duotone Lavender!!!
  • following settings:

11. Flood fill – flood fill the selected boxes with the gradient, following settings:

  • OPACITY 68!!!

12. Adjust – hue and saturation – colorize – pick a colour matching your tube.

13. Selections – invert – KEEP SELECTED

14. Activate your tube.

15. Image – resize – 400 pixels height max – check out yourself

16. Edit – copy

17. On your working area: edit – paste as a new layer.

18. Use your move tool to put your tube in a nice place.

19. Now hit DELETE on your keyboard to get rid of all the unnecessary parts!!!

Now it should look like this:

20. Flood fill – reset the opacity to 100.

21. Flood fill the selection with your gradient.

22. Adjust – hue and saturation – colorize – same settings as before.

23. Selections – select none

24. Layers – merge – merge all (flatten)

25. Effects – Plugins - Vizros 4 – box – click on the button LOAD and find your preset L&K_alana.vzx – ok.

26. Magic Wand – click in the white area

27. Selections – invert

28. Selections – modify – contract:

29. Edit – copy!!!!

30. Open a new transparent 1024 x 450 pixels

31. Flood fill – settings: opacity 100!!!!

32. Flood fill your transparent with your duo gradient.

33. Effects – plug in – two moon – wish it would rain – following settings:

34. Adjust – hue and saturation – colorize, same settings as before.

35. Edit – paste – paste as a new layer – (the cube is still in cache)

36. Effects – 3D effects – drop shadow; following settings:

SHADOW ON NEW LAYER CHECKED!!!!

Your Raster Shadow 1 is activated

37. Adjust – blur – motion blur – following settings:

38. Now activate your original tube – edit – copy

If you like you can mirror the tube

39. Back on your working area – edit – paste – paste as a new layer.

40. Use your move tool to put your tube in a nice place. Lower the opacity of this layer to 85%.

41. Layers – merge – merge all (flatten)

42. Effects – plugins – Greg’s Factory Output, Vol. II – Spotlight; following settings:
