PREPARATION
· Open a vertical picture

· Because we are using 4 different colours, we have made a colour sample, numbered 1 till 4, we use these numbers to make clear with which colour you have to work.

Activate L&K colour sample

Go to: adjust / hue and saturation / colorize, and pick a colour that matches your picture. If you use the picture provided then you can skip this.

 

1. Take your picture; duplicate (shift + D) because we need two pictures.

Picture 1:

2.Use your crop tool and cut a piece out of the picture, then click “apply”

3. Image / mirror.

Put it away; we will need this later on.

 

* * TAKE YOUR PICTURE 2 **

4. Use your crop tool, cut a fair square piece out of you picture. It’s not necessary to take an exact square, but some of the pictures have to resize a lot.

Our picture has the right size.

Click “apply” again.

5. Image / resize – every box checked, width 148 pixels

6. Adjust / sharpness / sharpen

7. Image / add borders / 1, symmetric

Colour 2 from the colour sample

 

 

8. Again: Image / add borders, settings:

  • Symmetric: NOT CHECKED
  • Colour: USE COLOUR 1

9. Image / add borders, settings:

USE COLOUR 2 from the colour sample

 

10. Layers / new layer!!!!

11. Selections / load/save selection / load selection from disk

Load L&K_les Esmee

12. Flood Fill / left colour number 3, right colour number 4

13. Selections / select none.

14. Layers / duplicate

15. Image / flip

16. Image / mirror

17. Layers / merge / merge all (flatten)

18. Edit / copy!!!!!!

19. Open a new transparent 500/400, flood fill with colour 1 of the colour sample.

20. Layers / new layer!!!!

21. Go to: script bar:

Look for: L&K_les_Esmee, click on the blue triangle, click ok during the script.

22. Go back to the script bar

Look for L&K_les_Esmee 1, click the blue triangle again.

23. Lock your background layer in the layer palette

24. Layers / merge / merge visible layers.

25. * * the lines are in green

In case you are using a picture of yourself you have to adjust the colour of the lines. If you use the picture provided you can skip colorize.

Adjust / hue and saturation / colorize, same settings!!**

26. Unlock your background layer!!!!!

27. Edit / paste / paste as a new layer (the picture is still in cache.

28. Use your move tool and place the picture a little bit down

29. Set your foreground colour to colour 2

30. Layers / new layer!!!!

31. Use your Pen tool:

  • Anti alias: checked!!
  • Width: 1.00
  • Line style: “korte streep”

32. Now, draw one straight line on the upper side and one below the picture; like the example:

33. Layers / merge / merge all (flatten)!!!!

34. Magic wand, with these settings!!!!!!!!

  • Mode: Add
  • All boxes: checked
  • Everything: 0
  • INSIDE!!!!

35. Select the 6 boxes one by one.

36. Put your foreground colour to colour 3 of the colour sample:

37. Flood fill / 3 boxes, skip one box every time.

38 Put your foreground colour on colour 4 of the colour sample:

39. Flood fill / fill the other 3 boxes with number 4.

40. Selections – select none

41. Layers / new layer

42. Magic Wand / click in the upper box

43. Now take the picture, we have put away.

44. Edit / copy

 

45. Activate your 500/400 tag

46. Activate / paste / paste into selection

47. Layers palette / opacity approx. 50%

48 Selections – select none!!!

49. Foreground colour nul (if you can’t manage that, click on the Pan Tool and you will succeed)

50. Put your background colour on colour 2 of the colour sample:

51. Text tool:

  • Vector
  • Font: Hancock
  • Size: 26
  • Stroke width 1

52. Type your text and put it in a nice place.

53. Effects – 3D – Drop shadow, following settings:

54. Image / add borders / 1 / symmetric / colour number 2

55. Edit / copy!!!!!!

 

 

Background:

 

56. Open a new 1024/450 (colour number 1)

57. Go to script bar (view / toolbar / script)

Look for: L&K_les_Esmee_2, click on the blue triangle.

58. Adjust / hue and saturation / colorize, same as before

* * when you use our picture just skip this * *

59. Layers / merge / merge all (flatten)

60. Effects / plug in filter / fm tile tools / blend emboss

61. Edit / paste / paste as new layer (tag is still in cache)

62. Use your moving tool to put in a nice place

 

63. Effects / 3D / Drop shadow / same settings as before.

64. Layers / merge / merge all layers (flatten)

65. Effects / plug in / Xero porcelain, these settings:
