Materials:

• Plug in VM Distortion: here, extract to your psp plug in folder
• Plug in Eye Candy 4000: here, extract to your psp plug in folder
•2 eye candy 4000_settings:
here place this in your file from this pluginn: Eye Candy 4000\Eye Candy 4000 Settings\Gradients
here place this in your file from this pluginn: Eye Candy 4000\Eye Candy 4000 Settings\smoke

Preparation:

Pick a colour for your foreground colour.
For your background choose a very dark colour
Find your foreground/background gradient; following settings:

1. Open a transparent 400 x 400.

2. Flood fill with your gradient.

3. Effects – plug ins – VM Distortion – broken mirror; with these settings:

4. Adjust – Photo fix – Pincushion Distortion correction; following settings:

5. Use your magic wand and select the transparent part of the image.
Check your settings:

6. Effects – plug ins – Eye Candy 4000 – smoke –settings - L&K Paulina
*When you did not save the settings than use the following:

Go to the tab “Colour” with following settings:

COLOR: click in the first box; choose white.
The other boxes should automatically have the colours you have picked.
OPACITY: 49

7. Selections – select none

8. Image – canvas size; following settings:

Now your working area should look like this:

 

9. Effects – plug ins – Eye Candy 4000 – Smoke – same settings
10. Effects – 3D Effects – drop shadow – find preset L&K_Paulina_slagschaduw; click ok.

11. Layers – duplicate
12. Adjust – Photo fix – Pincushion Distortion correction; same settings as before.

13. Again: Layers – duplicate

14. Adjust – Photo fix – Pincushion Distortion correction; same settings as before.

15. Again: LAYERS DUPLICATE

 

16. Adjust – Photo fix – Pincushion Distortion correction; same settings as before.

Your working area should look like this now:

17. Layers – merge all visible layers

18. Effects – 3D Effects – drop shadow; same settings as before.

19. Effects – Geometrics effects – Skew; following settings:

 

20. Image – mirror

21. Effects – plug ins – Eye Candy 4000 – Smoke – same settings as before.

22. Layers – new layer

23. Flood fill with your gradient

24. Layers – arrange – move down

25. Effects – Distortion effects – Spiky Halo - and find preset LK_PAULINA_stralen

26. Effects – Image effects – seamless tiling – find preset LK_Paulina_naadloos.

27. Layers – merge – merge all (flatten)

28. Adjust – Softness – Soft focus; following settings:

 

 

Now highlight your tube:

29.Edit – copy. On your working area – edit – paste as new layer.

**The tube we used had to be resized with 85%. If you use another tube this could be different.

30. Blend Mode – Luminance (legacy), but this too depends on your tube. Try some of the modes and see what nice results you get.

31. Effects – plug ins – Eye Candy 4000 – smoke – same settings as before.

32. Layers – merge all (flatten)

33. You will only need to do this last step if you will be using the same script from Micki as we did.

Effects – Image effects – seamless tiling
