L&K... Gitta

Materials:

Preparation:

• Set your view to rulers; view - rulers
• Set your Statusbar; view - toolbars - status
• Set your foreground colour to a dark colour matching your image (for the borders and the brushes) I choose lavender #817cbf.
• Note down the hue and saturation values.
  
  
  

The Background:

1. Open a new WHITE image (obligatory) 1024 x 450 pixels
   
2. Activate your selection tool: rectangle, feather 0
   
   
   
   
3. Start at the red dot 100 (top) 10 (left) and draw till 800 - 430,
   check your statusbar:
   
   
   
   
4. Effects - Plugins - L&K site of wonder - L&K's Mayra - following settings:
   
   
   
   
5. KEEP SELECTED!!
   
   
6. Repeat:
   Effects - plugins - L&K site of wonder - L&K's Mayra, same settings as in step 4.
   
   
7. Selections - select none!!!
   
   
8. Effects - image effects - seamless tiling; following settings:
   
   
   
   
   
9. Adjust / brightness and contrast / brightness and contrast / fill out the
   values: 40 - 0
   
   
   
   
10. Adjust / hue and saturation / colorize. Fill out the values you noted down
    earlier
    
    
    
    
11. Image - MIRROR!!!!!!
    
    
12. Layers - new layer
    
    
13. Activate your airbrush tool
    find your brush L&K les Gitta 1
    
    
    
    
14. Stamp your brush L&K les Gitta 1 exactly in the centre.
    "IN" the two squares on your working area, as example given:
    
    
    
    
    
15. Effects - 3D effects - dropshadow; following settings:
    
    
    
    
16. Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
    minimize the background, till furtheron in this tutorial.
    
    
    The Frame:
    
    
17. Open a new white image 550 width x 400 height
    
    
18. Activate your airbrush tool find your brush L&K les Gitta 2, stamp your brush exactly in the centre of your working area.
    X:275 (top) Y:200 (left) check your statusbar.
    
    
    
    
19. Layers - new layer !!!!
    
    
20. Activate your airbrush tool find your brush L&K les Gitta 3, stamp your brush in the left upper corner. Divide the space equally from the top and aside, just not touching the border.
    
    
    
    
    
21. Effects - plugins - Alien Skin EyeCandy5 - Impact - Extrude: following settings:
    You could also use the preset L&K_les Gitta
    
    
    
    
22. The corner should be as in the example given. Make sure that the corner is just next to the borders. You can always use your move tool to shove it a bit.
    
    
    
    
23. Effects- plugins - Simple - top left mirror.
    
    
    
24. NOTE: Effects - 3D effects - Dropshadow. Colour - your dark foreground colour.
    Shadow on new layer CHECKED!!!!!!!!
    
    
    
    
    
25. Effects - plugins - L&K site of wonders - L&K's Paris; following settings:
    
    
    
    
26. Effects - Reflection effects - Rotating Mirror
    
    
    
    
27. Layers - new layer
    
    
28. Activate your airbrushtool and find your brush L&K les Gitta 4, stamp this brush as the example given:
    
    
    
    
    
29. Effects - plugins - Simple - top left mirror.
    
    
30. Image - add borders - 1 pixel. Use your dark foreground colour. In my cas lavender.
    
    
    Minimize this image for now.
    
    
    The image:
    
    
31. From the 3 images choose the one you like the most.
    
    **Feel free to use your own images or just one images.
    Resize your images: image - resize - 315 x 210 pixels.
    If necessary you could use your crop tool: width 315 - height 210
    
    
    
    
    Hit adjust and crop the best part of the image:
    
    
    
    
    
32. Image - add borders - 1 pixel - colour: your dark foreground colour, in my case lavender.
    
    
33. Image - add borders - 15 pixels - colour: white.
    
    
34. Image - add borders - 1 pixel - colour: your dark foreground colour
    
    **In case you want to use three different images repeat step 32, 33 and 34. Add borders 1, 15 and 1 for the other images.**
    
    
    
    
    
    Now let's combine all to one image.
    
    
35. Maximize your minimized frame:
    
    
36. Edit - copy.
    
    
37. Activate your 1024 x 450 pixels background
    
    
38. Edit - paste - paste as a new layer
    
    
39. Effects - 3D effects - drop shadow - shadow on new layer UNCHECKED.
    Colour: black.
    
    
    
    
40. Use your move tool and shove this layer a bit to the left,
    divide the space equally.
    
    
    
    
41. Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
    
    
    
42. Now you have to choose one of the images as main image.
    
    
    
    
    
43. Edit - copy
    
    
44. Activate your 1024 x 450 background
    
    
45. Edit - paste - paste as a new layer.
    Place in the centre of the frame. Use your move tool.
    
    
    
    
46. Effects - 3D effects - drop shadow, same settings as before
    
    
47. Activate one of the other images (in case you work with only one just skip reactivate that one)
    
    
48. Image - resize - 20% - every box checked.
    
    
    
    
    
49. Adjust - sharpen - unsharp mask:
    
    
    
    
50. Edit - copy
    
    
51. On your 1024 working area: edit -paste - paste as a new layer.
    
    
52. Zoom in - use your move tool to place the image.
    
    
    
    
53. Repeat these steps ( resize - unsharp mask ) for the last image.
    
    ** In case you're only using one image, duplicate this layer. Use your move tool to place this image. **
    
    
54. Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
