The snowgif is
in the zip provided, so you don't have to make it.
Preparation:
- go to materials - foreground colour
- set your foreground colour to very dark red
#480000
- set your background colour to #ae0101 (red)
- make a foreground / background gradient, following
settings:
- go to the materials of your background colour
- set it to your pattern gold
embrossed_bg
- Open your Christmas image:

- Edit - copy (you can close the image).
- Open a transparent 550 x 350 pixels.
- Selections - select all.
- Edit - paste into selection
- Selections - deselect.
- Activate the tube of your Santa
If
your using your own tube - the one in the zip provided
AED_CHECKIN-IT-TWICE_2003.pspimage is 552 pixels
height - we only use a part of it.
- Edit - copy.
- Activate your 550 x 350 working image.
- Edit - paste - paste as a new layer.
- Use your move tool and place the tube to the
left.
- Image - Picture frame - find your Windows 05,
following settings:
- Effects - plugins - VDL Adrenaline - SnowScape,
following settings:
- Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
Put
this aside for the time being.
- Open a new transparant size 1024 x 450
pixels.
- Flood fill with your gradient.
- Effects - Image effects - Seamless Tiling;
following settings:
- Open your Christmas tree kerstboom.pspimage

- Edit - copy
- On your working area
- Edit - paste - paste as a new
layer.
Leave the
Christmas tree where it is, don't shove
it!!
- Effects - Image effects - offset, following
settings:
you can also use the preset
L_K_kerst2005_1 (If you are using PSP9 you have to
fill in the values.)
- Repeat: edit - paste - paste as a new
layer.
Leave the Christmas
tree where it is, don't shove it!!
- Repeat: Effects - image effects - off set,
following settings:

L_K_kerst2005_2 (PSP9 users fill in the
values:)
- Layers - merge - MERGE
DOWN
- In your layers palette change the blendmode to
Overlay
- Activate your magic wand:
- Click in the centre of your image; don't forget to
select the small edges:
- Selections - invert
- Layers - new layer
(Or your snow will be red)
- Effects - plugin - VDL Snowflakes; following
settings:
- Selection - deselect.
We're going to
decorate the Christmas tree, please notice that the
Christmas tree has two parts.
- Layers - new layer
- Activate your Picture tube tool:
find your
tube L&K kerstbal goud, scale 40!!!
- First decorate the two lower branches to the right
as well to the left, as example
given!!!
You could choose to duplicate
every ornament and use your move tool to place
them.
- Layers - merge - merge all flatten.
- Layers - NEW LAYER
- Picture tube tool: L&K kerstbal, now change
the scale to 35:
Again you could choose to
duplicate every ornament and use your move tool to
place them.
Now add the rest of the
ornaments, don't forget the right side.
- Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
- Layers - NEW LAYER
- Picture Tube tool:
find your
L&K kerstboom piek
- Click somewhere in your working area so your tube
is on your image.
Use your move tool and place the
topornament on top of the Christmas tree. Zoom in a
bit:
- Layers - new layer.
- Reactivate your Picture Tube tool:
find your
candles (aangestoken kaarsen) scale 10 for the
upper candles and 12 for the lower ones:
Remember to place
the candles both to the right and the left
side!!!
- Now joggle the material:
- Layers - NEW LAYER!!!!!
- Preset Shape Rectangle
all boxes unchecked!!!
- Draw a rectangle on your image, as example
given:
- Click on the D on your keyboar = your deform tool
will show.
- Go to the presets of deform, find
L&K_kerst2005_1
- Layers - new layer
- Again: activate your preset form rectangle:

- Again draw a rectangle, as example given:
- Reactivate your deform tool (the D on your
keyboard); now find L&K_kerst2005_2
- Now the table is finished; merge all
layers
(layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
- Activate the window we started with:

- Edit - copy
- Activate your 1024 x 450 working area
- Edit - paste as a new layer.
- Use your move tool to place the window, as example
given:
- Layers - NEW LAYER!!!!!
- Selection button
(S on
your keyboard)

- Fill in:
- Effects - Plugins - VDL Harmonix, Freq. value =

- Set your foreground to the dark colour and close
your gold pattern:
- Flood fill the selection, use your dark
colour:
KEEP SELECTED!!!!
- Set your foreground colour on your bright
colour:
- Go to material - check the box Texture
Find
your XMAS 42 texture, following
settings:
- Flood fill with your texture.
KEEP
SELECTED.
- Effects - 3D effects - dropshadow, following
settings:
or preset:L&K kerst 2005 (PSP9 users,
fill in the values)
KEEP SELECTED!!!!
- Effects - Illumination effects - Lights; following
settings:
- Selections - Deselect.
- Now activate the girl tube provided
(or one of your own, height approx. 400)
- Edit - copy
- Activate your 1024 x 450 working area
- Edit - paste as a new layer.
- Use your move tool and place to your
likings.
- Now copy the tube of the glass
(or your
own one) and the Xmas ornament (or use
your own one)
- Edit - paste as a new layer on your working
area.
- Again use your move tool and place to your
liking:
- Hide your foreground colour, set your background
to the gold pattern:
- Activate your text tool, font Boulevard, following
settings:
- Place the text:

- Effects - 3D effects - dropshadow, following
settings:
- Layers - merge - merge all
(flatten)
BACKGROUND
- Open a new transparant 1024 x 450 pixels.
- Find your gradient, - foreground colour #480000;
background #ae0101
- Flood fill with your gradient.
- Effects - Image effects - Seamless Tiling, same
settings:
Save both files and fill in the script, the snow gif
is in the zip provided. Save the script and the gif in
the same folder.
