Juliëtte..L & K

This tut is made for PSP 8, the standard version.

Because Karen and I couldn’t make a choice we made Romeo and Juliëtte, a duo lesson, lollll.
Actually they have the same base, but they look totally different. We doubted a whole day and then decided to write them both.

This tut is translated for us by Mac (off the L&K members )and we give here a hug and biggggg kiss for doing a wonderfull job, thanks sweetie,            lisette and karin.

 

Part 1.

What you will need:

• Filter simple: here

Preparation:

• I work with the metallic gradient, but after finishing, you could change into any colour by using “colorize”.
• Have your foreground set on a flat tube colour, in this case I chose grey.


1. Open a new transparent image 1024 / 450
2. Flood fill with foreground colour, in this case grey.
3. Close your background colour (just click on the arrow if you can close)

4. Foreground colour, Material, gradient Metallic:

• Angle : 90
• Repeat: 0
• Style: Linear
• Invert: not checked

5. Layers / new layer

6. Selection Tool:

7: Set as print screen:

8. Flood fill selection with the metallic gradient.


9. KEEP ALL SELECT!!!!!

10. Effects/ 3D Effects / Drop Shadow, as follows:

11. Selections / Select none

12. Layers / Merge all (flatten)

Save this for later on!

13. Open a new transparent image 285 / 285

** Click on your rulers; View / Rulers and your status toolbar: View / Toolbars / Status **

14. Use your Pen Tool

  • widen : 2.00
  • anti alias checked

15. Draw a diagonal line (using the metallic gradient)

• start in the corner at 0,0
• draw 30,00 x 30,00 using your rulers, example beneath:

 

16. Effects/ plugins / simple – top left mirror

17. Preset shape tool, choose Rectangle.
• Retain Style: Not checked
• Anti Alias: checked
• Vector: checked
• Width: 2,00

18. Zoom in (use View – Zoom)

19. Put your mouse exactly on the tip of the line,

and draw a rectangle as given
If necessary, correct this rectangle by using the red cubes.



20. Layers / Vector1 layer / convert to raster layer.

21. Selections / select all

22. Selections / modify / contract 2 pixels

23. Selections / Invert

24. Flood fill / gradient / adjustments:

25. Selections / Select none

26. Layers / merge/ merge visible.

27. Return to Material:

28. Gradient / Angle: 135

29. Use your magic wand:

30. Click in the 2 faces, see the printscreen:

31. Selections / modify / expand 2 pixels

32. Layers / new layer!!!!!!

33. Flood fill with gradient

34. Selections / select none

35. Layers / arrange / move down

36. Layers / merge / merge visible

37. Layers / duplicate

38. Image / resize

50 percent
• Resize all layers : not checked
• Aspect ratio: checked.

39. Image / rotate / free rotate:

RIGHT, 90, nothing checked.

Now you should have this result:

40. Layers / merge / merge visible

41. Edit / Copy

 

Now open your first image 1024 / 450.

42. Edit / paste / paste as new layer

43 “leave the image centred”

44. Image / rotate / free rotate;

Left, 45

45. Effects / 3D Effects / Drop shadow, same as before (10)

The result should look like this:

46. Layers / duplicate

47. Image / resize / same as before

48. Use the move tool and put the little shape in place

49. Layers / duplicate

50. Use the move tool and put this one in place too

51. Layers / merge / MERGE ALL (flatten)

52. Find a colour matching your tube and: adjust / hue and saturation / colorize

 

53. Resize your tube, image / resize / and choose your custom size.

54. Edit / copy

55. High light 1024/450

56. Edit / paste / paste as new layer
57. Put it in place

58. Effects / 3d Effects / drop shadow / same as before
