Romeo _eng ....L&K

This tut is made for PSP 8, the standard version.

Because Karen and I couldn’t make a choice we made Romeo and Juliëtte, a duo lesson, lollll.
Actually they have the same base, but they look totally different. We doubted a whole day and then decided to write them both.

This tut is translated for us by Mac (one off the L&K members )and we give here a hug and biggggg kiss for doing a wonderfull job, thanks sweetie, lisette and karin.

 

Part 2, we repeat a piece of the frame of Juliëtte..

 

What you will need:

• Filter simple: here
• Selection L&K Romeo : here
• The fabulous tube by Manon, Mtm face 24 simple black: here

Preparation:

• choose for the foreground colour a dark flat colour matching your tube.              I took black.
• Choose a bright colour for the background. this will be the background colour for your 1024/450, I took white)
• lock your background colour

1. Open a transparent image 300/300

2. Choose pen tool, following settings:

• width: 1,00
• anti alias: checked


** Click on your rulers; View / Rulers and your status toolbar: View / Toolbars / Status **

3. Draw a diagonal line

• start in the corner at 0,0
• draw 70,00 x 60,00 using your rulers, example beneath:

4. Effects / Plugin / Simple – top left mirror

5. Preset Shape Tool, choose Rectangle

  • retain style : unchecked
  • anti alias: checked
  •width:1,00                                                                                                                        
• create as vector : checked

 

6. Zoom in (View, zoom)

7. Put your mouse at the exact tip of the line, and draw a rectangle , correction is possible by using the red cubes!!!!!

8. Layer / vector layer / convert to raster layer.

9. Selections: select all

10. Selections: modify / contract 1 pixel

11. Selections: invert

12. Flood fill / the selected border with dark foreground colour

13. Selections / select none
14. Layers/ merge / merge visible layers

15. Magic Wand
16. Click in the selected arias (see below)

17. Selections / selections modify / expand with 1

18. LAYERS / NEW LAYER!!!!!!!

** Now we fill 1 face with the dark colour and 1 face with the bright colour.

19. Flood fill / flood fill with the dark foreground colour

20. Switch colours, the bright colour is the foreground colour.

21. Magic wand

22. Flood fill/ Flood fill with the bright colour

23. Layers / Arrange / Move down

24. Layers/ Merge / Merge visible layers

25. Selections / select none

 

26. Shift + D (copy this image) put it aside, we need it later on.

 

Let’s move on:

27. Import your tube, Mtm face 24 simple black.

 

28. If you prefer a tube of your choice: image / resize, you have to decide yourself what is necessary for your tube.

The given tube: max. height 179 pixels, everything checked.
29. Enhance photo / sharpen

30. Edit / copy

31. Highlight your frame

32 Place the tube in the centre

33. Layers / merge / merge visible layers

You should have two images now, (1) is empty and (2) containing a tube.

34. Put aside for a while

 

 

35. Open a new transparent 1024 / 450

36. Flood fill / flood fill with the bright colour (I used white)

37. Layers / new layer

38. Selections / load/save selection / load selection from disk / get your L&K_Romeo selection.



39. Reverse your colours, and make a dark background colour.

40. Zoom in, make image very large!!!

41. Flood fill / flood fill all 4 faces of the selection

42. Selections / select none

43. Effects / 3D Effects / Drop shadow, settings:

44. Highlight image 1: the empty one, without a tube!!!!

45 Image / resize / 50% / every box checked

46. Edit / copy.

From here on, don’t touch anything, just let the buttons do their work!!!

47. Edit / paste / paste as a new layer

48. effects / 3D effects / dropshadow, same settings as before

49. EFFECTS - IMAGE EFFECTS - OFF SET - following settings:

-80, 226

It should look like this:

50. Again: Edit / paste / paste as new layer

51. Effects / 3D Effects / Drop shadow, same settings as before

52. Again: Effects / Image effects / offset, following settings:

-150, 145

53. Layers / layers arrange / move down

54. Layers / duplicate

55. Image / Flip

56. Now take image 2, the one with the tube!!!!!

57. Edit / copy

58. Highlight the 1024 /450 image

59. Edit / paste / paste as new layer

60. Effects / image effects / offset, following settings

61. Effects / 3D Effects / Drop shadow, same settings

62. Take your eraser tool:

63. wipe off the lines, this is not necessary for black. For many other colours it’s advisable.

64. Layers / merge layers / merge all layers.
