A main tube of your choice. The tubes I have used in both of my examples are by Manon at TOP DESIGN.
Note: The screen shots are from the Danish translation. I have used a different tube,
therefore my colors are different than those shown in the screen shots.
PREPARATIONS:

Set your foreground color to a 'dark' color from your tube, and your background to a light color.

Then change your foreground color to a gradient with the following settings (remember to select 'Sunburst').
  1. Open a new image 1024 x 400 pixels, transparent background.
  2. Fill the layer with your gradient.
  3. Go to 'Effects / Plugins / Andrew 1 /Blur Up' and use the following settings:
  4. Go to 'Effects / Edge Effects /Enhance'.
  5. Go to 'Effects / Plugins / Filters Unlimited' and use the following settings:
  6. Then apply the filter 'Unplugged Tools / Transition' (default settings).
  7. Go to 'Selections / Load/Save Selections / Load Selection from Disk' and select 'L&K_lesShanata_sel' as shown here:
  8. Go again to 'Plugins / Filters Unlimited' but this time with the following settings.
  9. Go again to 'Effects / Edge Effects / Enhance'.
  10. Select None (Ctrl + D). Minimize this image for now.
  11. Open the tube 'SummerLeaves_L&K_les Shanata' that you downloaded. Colorize this tube to match your main tube and/or background ('Adjust / Hue and Saturation / Colorize)'.
  12. Go to 'Edit/Copy'.
  13. Open a new image 200 x 178, transparent background.
  14. Flood fill with your gradient.
  15. Go to 'Edit / Paste / Paste As New Layer'.
  16. DO NOT CHANGE THE PLACEMENT OF THE LEAF TUBE - LEAVE IT AS IT WAS PASTED.
  17. Now go to 'Effects / Illumination Effects / Lights'. Locate the 'LK_lesShanta_1' preset by clicking on the black arrow as shown below:
  18. Duplicate this layer, then rotate the new layer as shown here:
  19. Go again to 'Effects / Illumination Effects / Lights', but this time locate the 'LK_lesShanata_2' preset as shown here:
  20. With the 'Mover Tool', place the leaf tube as shown here:
  21. Activate the 'Crop Tool'. And just like you did with the 'Lights' preset, click on the black arrow and select 'L&K les shananta_bijsnijden' from the list as shown here:
  22. The cropped area will then be highlighted as follows:
  23. Click 'Apply' (the check mark):
  24. Add a 1 pixel border (Symmetric), and use your dark color.
  25. Go to 'Edit / Copy'.
  26. Open a new image 218 x 218, transparent background. Then select 'Edit / Paste / Paste As New Layer'.
  27. Zoom in, and use the 'Mover Tool' to place the image precisely in the upper right corner as shown here:
  28. Duplicate this layer.
  29. Then go to 'Image / Mirror', and then 'Image / Flip'.
  30. Duplicate this layer.
  31. With this new layer active, go to 'Image / Rotate' and use these settings:
  32. It looks a little strange at this point, but don't move anything.
  33. Go to 'Effects / Image Effects / Offset' and use these settings:
  34. Duplicate this layer. With this new layer still active, go to 'Image / Mirror', then 'Image / Flip'.

At this point, your image should look something like this:
  35. Go to 'Layers / Merge / Merge Visible'.
  36. With the 'Magic Wand Tool', select the 'empty' area in the middle, then Flood Fill with your gradient.
  37. With your selection still active, go to 'Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur' = 19.
  38. Select None (Ctrl + D).
  39. Add a 30 pixel border (Symmetric), and use a color not found in your image.
  40. With the 'Magic Wand Tool', select the border you just added. Then Flood Fill with your gradient.
  41. Add a 1 pixel border (Symmetric), and use your dark color.
  42. Select None (Ctrl + D).
  43. Copy this image ('Edit / Copy'). Go back to the 1024 x 400 background strip that you made at the very beginning of the tutorial. Select 'Edit / Paste / Paste As New Layer'.
  44. Go to 'Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow' and use these settings:
  45. Activate your main tube. Go to 'Edit / Copy'.

Go back to your 1024 x 400 strip, then 'Edit / Paste / Paste As New Layer'. Resize if necessary. Apply the same 'Drop Shadow' as before.
  46. Use the 'Mover Tool' to adjust the placement of the tube. Go to 'Layers / Merge / Merge All (Flatten).' And then you are finished!
