Preparation
:
- foreground colour: Set to a light colour matching your image (I used #ffffff)
- background colour: Pick a very dark colour matching your image #7c9098;
find
your foreground / background gradient, following
settings:

Part I :
1.Open
a white image size 702 x 500
2.layer palette / Promote to background layer!!!
3.effects / texture effects / weave, following settings,
4.effects /image effects / off set, Put it on repeat !!!
5.magic wand: put it on inside !! following settings
click in one of the black cubes
6.and hit Delete on your
keyboard

.selections / invert !!!!
Zoom in :
8.flood fill / fill with your gradient
9.effects / 3 d / Inner bevel, preset metallic
10.selections / load /save selection / load selection from disk,
find

11. again hit Delete on your keyboard

14.flood fill / fill your selection with your gradient

click on Color->and jus your dark colour
(hold your dropper tool in your selected ball=> for the correct colour)

28.swap the material->make your plain colour your foreground

Part II: THE DVD cover
swap your colours, hide your foreground
colour:
Open your L&K picture_ lesson nina.jpg
 or take one image of yourself
1.Crop tool / cut a beautiful square from your image
( my image- provided in
the zip- is already the right size => 464x464 )
2.Text tool -> find your font / ChopinScript -> size 72 >fat->Make as: Vector
Give your DVD cover a title (depending on your picture=> adjust the size)
put your text on your image
3.effects / 3 d / drop shadow,
As for the opacity it's best to see for your self because of your image .
4. layers / merge / merge all (flatten)
put it aside for
now, we will need this later on in the lesson.

Part III
1.Open a new transparant size 802 x500
2selections / load / save selection / load selection from disk,
find. L&K_les_nina_3
3.effects / plug ins / Eye candy 5 Impact / Brushed Metal, Circular Steel
(standard )
keep selected!!!
4.layers / new layer !!!!
5.effects / plug ins / Eye candy 5 Impact / Chrome
preset LK_les_Nina
6.layer palette / change the blend mode to Screen
7.layers / merge / merge visible
in case you are using different colours, you should colorize now Use: adjust - hue and saturation - colorize
find a colour matching your DVD image
keep selected!!!
open the tube Marif_2006_septembre_misted_fleurs064 :  (250x300 )
8.edit / copy
9.on your working area
10.edit / paste as a new layer
11.move tool / move the tube to a nice spot on your DVD
12.Go to your layer palette/ lower the opacity to approximately 10 - 30,depending on your tube
13.selections / invert!!!!
14.and hit Delete on your
keyboard
15.again - > selections / invert!!!!
16.layers / merge / merge down
17.selections/modify/contract with - > 150
18. and hit again Delete on your
keyboard
keep selected!!!
19.open your foreground colour
20.layers / new layer !!!!
21.flood fill / fill with your your light colour (white)
22.Go to your layer palette/ lower the opacity to approximately 50
23.selections/modify/contract with - > 27
24.and again hit Delete on your
keyboard
25.selections / select none
26.layers / new layer !!!!
27. brush 
look for
L&K_les_nina _1, and put it in the middle of your DVD, as in example given:
28.Go to your layer palette/ lower the opacity to approximately 70-> 30
depending on your colour
29.layers / new layer !!!!

look for
L&K_les_nina _2, place the text in between the lines on your DVD,as given in example .
31.Go to your layer palette / lower the opacity to approximately 100-50
depending on your colour
32.layers / merge / merge visible

35.flood fill / fill with your your light colour (white)
36.selections / select no
37.effects / plug ins / xero - porcelain
38.effects / 3 d / drop shadow
39.effects / distortion effects- warp,
40.Layers - Arrange-Send to Bottom
41.Layers / duplicate
42.Layers - Arrange-Bring to Top
43. again : effects /distortion effects- warp, but now with following settings
44.selections / load / save selection / load selection from disk,
find L&K_les_nina_5
Activate they square image that we made earlier in this tut, 
45.edit / copy.
46.on your working area
47.edit / paste into selection
48.selections / select none
49.layers / merge / merge visible
50.image / resize -> 73 %, all boxes checked
51.Adjust / Sharpen / unsharp mask
52.edit / copy !!!!!!!

1.edit / paste as a new layer

Activate your tube : Mtm_Misc 162-dwarsfluit-29 jan 2007  (or one of your own)
3.edit / copy
4.on your working area
5.edit / paste as a new layer
6. take your Move Tool => place your tube to your liking
7.effects / 3 d / drop shadow , similar setting
8.layers / merge / merge all (flatten).

1.set your material back on your gradient 
2.Open a transparant size 400 x 400
3.flood fill / fill with your gradient
4.Adjust / blur / radial blur
5.effects / image effects / seamless tiling:

1.open a new transparent image of 10 x 10 pixels
