Preparation
- If you want to use your own
image (e.g. a face) pick a horizontal image with a black background!!!
- Set your foreground to black, your background to
white.

- Go to material and find your metallic gradient,
use the following settings:

*** we do not use coordinates in this tutorial,
because that is not necessary. Just follow the lesson.
1. Open a new transparent 500 x 350 pixels
2. Flood fill with your metallig gradient.
3. Effects - Image effects - seamless tiling -
following settings:
4. Adjust - blur - Gaussian blur, set Radius to
50.
*** the following will be done on the same layer

5. Activate your selection tool;
- find circle
- feather 0
- anti alias checked
6. Go to the middle of your image and draw a circle,
not too big, not too small, look at the example given:
(There is a red dot where
I started the circle)

7. Adjust - brighness and contrast following
settings:

8. Selections - select none
9. Now draw a second circle (the red dot shows where to start) on the edge of the
first circle.

10. Adjust - brightness and contrast - same settings
as before.
11. Selections - select none.
12. Draw a third circle, the red
dot shows where to start
13. Adjust - brightness and contrast - same settings
as before.
14. Selections - select none.
15. Draw the next circle, start just below the first
circle, the red dot shows where to
start.
16. Adjust - brightness and contrast
now change brightness to 43.

17. Selections - select none.
18. Draw a fifth circle, again, the red dot shows where to start.

19. Adjust brightness and contrast - same settings
as in step 16.
20. Selections - select none.
21. Activate your Freehand
Selection tool:

22. Use the configuration: point
to point
Feather: 0, Smoothing 0, Anti-alias checked:

23. Now draw a triangle as example given. Follow the
red dots, at the end double click and you
will see the selected area:

24. Effects - plugins - Photo tools - Frosted Edger
White; following settings:

25. Selections - select none.
26. Again draw a triangle using your freehand tool.
Follow the example given:
27. Adjust - brightness and contrast, use the first
settings:
28. KEEP SELECTED!!!!!
29. Effects - plugins - Photo tools - Frosted Edger
white, use same settings as in step 24.
30. Selections: select none.
31. Now draw a triangle - again using your freehand
tool, as the example given:

32. Adjust - brightness and contrast - same settings
as before.
33. KEEP SELECTED!!!!
34. Effects - plugins - Photo tools - Frosted edger
white - same settings as in step 24.
35. Selections - select none
36. Layers - New Layer
37. Set your foreground on your colour
38. Now activate your base tool, find rectangle
- Retain style: unchecked
- Anti-alias; checked
- Create as vector; unchecked
- width: 1,00
39. Draw a rectangle
Do not worry about the coordinates.
I started a 0
and draw till 100 and then used the full length down
40. Activate your deforming tool and stretch the
rectangle a bit, the upper and bottom black line should
disappear:
41. Layers - duplicate
42. Use your move tool and shove this layer a bit to
the right, as shown on the example given:
43. Layers - merge - merge down
44. Effects - plugins - photo tools - Frosted Edger
Black
45. Adjust - Negative image
46. Layers palette - lower the
opacity of this layer to 24!!!!
47. Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
48. Adjust - hue and saturation - colorize -
saturation on 76
Pick a colour, I chose green.
49. Layers - new layer
50. Selections - select all
51. Now activate your image LNK-Alyssa_frac
52. Edit - copy
53. On your working area:
54. Edit - paste into selection
55. Effects - plugins - Cybia Swap Shop - RBG,GRB,
BGR
"old or new version of swap shop" everything on
0
56. On your layer palette set the blendmode to "soft
light"
The layer opacity is set on 30, but this can differ,
just see what you prefer.
57. KEEP SELECTED!!!!!
58. LAYERS - NEW LAYER
59. Activate the image LNK_Handen_Les Alyssa
60. Edit - copy
61. Activate your 500 x 350 pixels working area
62. Edit - paste into selection
63. Layers palette - change your blendmode to "soft
light" lower the opacity to 40.
64. STILL KEEP SELECTED!!!!
65. LAYERS - NEW LAYER
66. Activate your image LNK_Les Alyssa gezicht or an
image of your choice.
67. Edit - copy
68. On your 500 x 350 working area
69. Edit - paste - paste into selection
70. Layers palette - change the blendmode to "soft
light"
71. LAYERS - NEW LAYER
72. Activate your LNK_les Alyssa_balkjes.psp
file
73. Edit - copy
74. Activate your working area
75. Edit - paste - paste into selection
76. Layers palette - change the blend mode to soft
light.
77. Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
78. Selections - select none.
79. Effects - plugins - Photo tools/gradient Sky

add a little colour, just to your liking

80. Effects - Plugins - namesuppressed- softener,
click on OPEN at PRESETS:

81. Find : soft and fluffy.
82. Now you have to decide which numbers you will
fill in for Radius and Opacity, this are the configurations I used,
but it differs per colour and image.
83. Effects - 3D effects - buttonize - following
settings:
pick a dark colour from your image to fill in at
"colour"
84. Background
- Set your foreground colour to white
- Choose a dark colour from your frame to use as
background colour
- go to material and find your
foreground/background gradient

85. Open a new transparent 400 x 400 in case you
like to use the script, 1024 x 450 is possible too
86. Flood fill with your gradient
87. Effects - image effects - seamless tiling -
following settings:
88. Adjust - blur - Gaussian blur - 50
89. Layers - new layer
90. Make sure the image LNK_les Alyssa_balkjes is
still opened in PSP!!!
91. Open your pattern and find the image LNK_les
Alyssa_balkjes, use following settings:

92. Flood fill (sample merged checked!)
flood fill your 400 x 400 image with your
pattern
93. LAYERS - NEW LAYER
94. Go to material and change the settings for
pattern:

95. Flood fill - repeat flood fill - use the
pattern
96. Layers palette - lower the opacity to 50.
97. Layers - merge - merge all (flatten)
98. Effects - plugins - namesuppressed - softener,
same settings as before.
99. Effects - image effects - seamless tiling -
following settings:
