You will need the following for this lesson:

Filter 'Mura Seamless/filter E(Hex pattern) - download HERE
Texture 'Texture LK_ 83' - place in your Texture folder - download HERE
Preset shape 'Check 1' - place in your Preset Shapes folder - download HERE
Selection 'LK_lesDebora_sel' - place in your Selections folder - download HERE
Preset for Illumination effect 'LK_lesDeborah' - place in your Presets folder - download HERE

Note: I have used a different tube and different colors on this page.

PREPARATIONS: Set your foreground color to a 'medium dark' color from your tube.

1. Open a new image, 1024 x 400, transparent background.

2. Flood Fill with your foreground color.

3. Effects/Texture Effects/Texture with the following settings:

4. Add a new raster layer.

5. Go to 'Effects / Plugins / Mura's Seamless/Hex Pattern' and use the following settings:

Note: These settings are for PSP8.
6. Go to 'Effects/Illumination Effects/Lights'. Locate the 'LK_lesDeborah' Preset.
7. Go to the Layer Palette and change the Blend Mode to 'Luminance':
8. Apply a Drop Shadow with these settings:
9. Add a new raster layer.

10. Set your foreground color to a light color from your work:
11. Go to 'Selections/Load from Disk' and locate the 'LK_lesdebora' selection:
12. Flood Fill with your light foreground color.

13. Selections/Modify/Contract = '2'.

14. Set your background color to a dark color from your work (right-click with the Dropper Tool).

15. Flood Fill(right-click) with the dark background color.

16. Apply the same Drop Shadow as before. Select None.

17. Go to 'Effects/Texture Effects/Texture and use the same settings.

18. Go to 'Illumination Effects/Light' with the same settings as before EXCEPT change 'Darkness' to 60:

19. Open and copy your tube. Go back to your main image and choose 'Paste As New Layer'. Your your Mover Tool to move the tube into place. Resize your tube if necessary.

20. Merge All (Flatten) and then add a new raster layer.

21. Activate the Preset Shapes Tool and use the following settings:

        Start at the top and drag downward and to the right. Adjust the size as you would with any vector object.

23. Apply a Drop Shadow - same settings as before.

24. Add a new raster layer.

25. Activate the Pen Tool and use these settings:
26. Draw 2 lines as shown here:
27. Apply a Drop Shadow - again with the same settings as before.

28. Merge All (Flatten) - and your are FINISHED! Resize if you like.
